Disconnecting accident

My iphone was charging with an extension cord and i accidentally stretched to the point where it disconnected from the plug not from the phone. I was told it’s bad for the battery to disconnect it from the plug. i didn’t mean to it was dark.. i had it connected to a power stick plugged into the wall. and accidentally stretched it and knocked it out..☹️

Hello Drickbay!

I don’t know how this could possibly hurt the battery. The cable stops transferring power, just as it would if you were to unplug the cable from the iPhone. Right, anyone?

If it’s true, my battery should be ruined. I’ve pulled my cable out of the wall more times than I can remember. Once, it was plugged into my alarm clock, and I rolled over in bed, pulling the clock off the dresser and onto the floor, smashing it. 🤣

Stuff only unplugs when it shouldn’t.

Have you noticed any issues since that incident?
