iPhone 12 is 'Findable' but won't switch on

I have an iPhone 12. Yesterday, it ran of battery. I plugged it into the charging cord. This morning when I woke up, it was off and the screen was black. When I pressed the buttons a battery symbol showed saying that the phone was discoverable / findable but it would not turn on. Then I moved the charger to another wall outlet. It looked like it was charging and turned on for awhile. The alarm went off. Now it has gone back to the black screen with the 'phone is findable' message and will not turn on. How can I fix this?

Had the same problem. Figured I would have to replace, since I need a phone "today" and can't be mailing one off, went to phone store, and clerk sort of absent mindedly plugged his charger into the phone. Within minutes it was at 5% and I thanked him and left. Got home, and same chargers that didn't work earlier worked fine. Sort of similar to Simon780. Find a charger not in routine use (try your car charger?) and perhaps it will jolt the phone back to life.

Perhaps to leave the charger in place for at least 10 hours,

may allow the iPhone to awaken refreshed? Or at least give

'it a go' ~ with at least something to run on.

Mine's on-charge whenever its parked; at least overnight &

up to 10 hours at a stretch. Going on almost 3 years w/ 95%

battery reserve left. Your iPhone may need an appointment

for scheduled diagnostic; and a new Apple battery?

At least when my iPhone is on a charger, it still 'hands-off'

to nearby Macs, then it also can use real keyboard to text.
