Iphone microphone problems (sound)

when recording a voice message through any application (including the basic Dictaphone application), the sound quality is seriously poor and there are strange, unpleasant whistling sounds on the recording. PS: if I record a video through the camera application or make a phone call, the microphone is perfectly fine. Thanks

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right
