Really? It's working for me! I have an automation based on 'When I'm leaving Madrid's community, execute 'Far away Home' scene'.. and it's working perfectly.

I stand corrected. It appears, that if you create it (at least on a Mac), it doesn't appear immediately (Screenshot 1 below)...but, if I shutdown the Home app and reopen it, then it appears (Screenshot-2)

Sadly, this doesn't work, or at least it doesn't in Mac Sonoma.

Yes, you 'appear' to create a new geofence, but you can't save it and if you go back to an automation that uses a geofence (such as somebody arriving or leaving), and recheck Location, it defaults to Home (and the new geofence you created has disappeared).

I don't think there is a specific location for HomeKit feedback, but in lieu of this I suggest you use Feedback - HomePod - Apple to share your thoughts.

You cannot edit Home on geofence, but you can create another geofence zone. If you press on Automation 'People leaves' and then click on Location, you can write for example the name of your city and move the circle to adjust the radius distance.

I absolutely agree. Geofencing is central to home automation and having it fixed at 330 feet is worthless for a large percentage of home automation scenarios. Apple should either allow it to be adjusted (e.g., in Settings), or allow users to create their own geofences that are visible to automation. Hopefully, somebody in the Product Management team for this app will wake up and listen to the user community.

(On a personal note, sadly, I think the Home app is well below Apple's quality in terms of user experience - it feels half-baked, almost as if Apple felt the need to get something in the HA scene, and then used a bunch of college kids to cobble something together.)

Because Cook only looks at the bottom line !

simply put not enough profit in it to put the requisite resources into it to make it a decent product.

the same reason their OSX is failing !
