Printer preview field “to” out of range

my MacBook has been stuck for over a month in the printer preview on an error message “The value in the to field is out of range. Resetting to valid value.” If I press “Ok” the box with this message pops up back again. Basically my Mac is stuck there and this problem prevents the computer from restarting and upgrading. I don’t know what to do I have tried to uninstall my printer but it hasn’t worked.

?

You can always force quit a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec.

Force Shut down your Mac.

Log out, sleep, wake, restart or shut down your Mac

You should be able to Command-Q to quit Safari, or Command-Option-escape and force quit any application that is stuck.

Or, as leroydouglas has suggested, just press and hold the power button to force your mac to shutdown. This is a brute force method that never fails.
