Can my 2018 macbook pro support two monitors through two separate usb c or thunderbolt cables?
I have one hooked up via usb-c to one monitor and other through HDMI. I want to chain link them through displayport but it just mirrors the screens. Can somebody give me some advice?

Additionally, it doesn't appear that either model has a native HDMI port: Identify the ports on your Mac - Apple Support To verify, are you using an adapter to connect one of the monitors to your MacBook Pro via HDMI?

I don't believe any recent Macs support DisplayPort daisy-chaining.
Some might support Thunderbolt monitor daisy-chaining, but there aren't many Thunderbolt monitors – let alone ones with resolutions low enough to allow daisy-chaining.
To get a Mac to support more than one display on a cable out of the Mac, the port, the cable, and the first device (Dock or Display) must all be genuine ThunderBolt devices.
USB-C has only half the data pathways of Thunderbolt, so it is not supported for this use.
