Ventura 13.5 upgrade not wanted

I've gone through the list of all the 13.5 additions. I don't share any work with groups, and want to keep things simple. Happy to have security upgrades but don't need or want anything I see in this upgrade. So why should I install this stuff?

just because something is included in an update / upgrade doesn't mean you must use it. you can safely ignore such things that you don't want to use.

because keeping your Mac up to date is the ONLY way to ensure you have the latest security components.

I've looked through all the contents of the upgrade and don't see any security upgrades. I am not in any way a "power user" and an upgrade like this just means I have to spend hours finding ways to hide or disable things that will only confuse me. I have my upgrades preferences set to install only security updates.

Understand, I have a TBI and that means brain injury and limited bandwidth in my mental processing. I cannot cope with that process at all.

ok. well I'm sorry that updating your computer may cause you difficulties. I can sympathize. but it doesn't make it any less true that it is also required to keep your Mac secure. yes, you will get some security components by having "preferences set to install only security updates", but there are many other components you will be missing if you don't update.
