Issues with email verification for adding a card to wallet.

I went to add a debit card to wallet to send a friend money. When I added it. It gives you a choice for email verification, phone, and something else. My issue is with the parts of the email name that I saw. I’ve had one email my whole life. Never used another on my phone.I looked in settings it still only shows my correct email, phone number, name and address. Why is it coming up with someone else’s email when I go to verify a card? And it’s blanked out with ****** so I don’t even know the actual email. My bank has all my information correct. My settings for wallet is correct. Please help

Verification is from information the bank has. Apple cannot verify bank information. Only banks can verify and they use information they have on file.


Many times when contact information is added or updated the bank does not remove old data and merely adds data. The verification system may be defaulting to old information rather than updated information.


If you bank is allowing options, try selecting text or phone call.
