CDs and downloads have the same sound quality?

i’ve been hearing things, so far no problem. but i want to make 100% absolutely sure that the CDs i ripped and had on USB pin drives are going to have the same volume and overall same sound quality as the music i download from Amazon. i want to make sure that is someone hears my music from my computer or iphone, they will not be able to tell if it was CD ripped, from a USB pen drive or downloaded from Amazon.

I know it will matter if the CD is remastered but what if i rip one remastered CD and down load a remasterd album from Amazon? Will it sound the same? Will the volume be the same?

You asked about “sound quality”, bit rates, and such.

What is acceptable for your hearing and your budget is subjective.

For differing volume levels, enable Sound Check in Settings > Music.

That seeks to bring the audio volume of different songs into the same range.

But even from the same artist and the same album, some songs are louder, and some quieter.

i read where CD ripped are 256 bitrate while Amazon downloads are 273 bitrate. Why is that? I need them to be the same. i found where you can adjust it

Standard is 273 bitrate, but does anyone know if data saver is 256? Did anyone ever compare CD ripped music file to Amazon downloaded file to see if they’re the same?

CDs and downloads have the same sound quality?
