iPhone X model

I bought an iPhone X with the assumption that its new and original, but, am noticing that the model number starts with N and not M

Does that mean my iPhone X is FAKE?

iPhone 6, iOS 12

The first letter in the model number represents the source of the device. Currently, there are four known possible choices:

  • "F": refurbished unit
  • "M": retail unit
  • "N": replacement unit
  • "P": personalized (engraved) unit
