How do I stop iPhone screen illuminating when charging

1.- Good joke. How is my alarm going to work from another room.

2.- 1-Do Not Disturb is buried in settings and not found with a search. No Charging option found. 2- Trying it

3.- I had 3 different chargers and none of them has this option that I've found. I want to be able to see the phone when I want to see it and turning it away isn't much of an option.

So, if you can find the sleep settings, your phone won't keep waking you up all night for no reason. Probably.
