Hello there!
On the iPad models without a home button, you have to press the top button and one of the volume buttons. Hold it there until you see the menu to shut the iPad off.
If this doens’t work, then go to settings > General > scroll all the way down and tap on ‘shut off’
Then you can slide to the right to shut the device off.
