Understand iPod model MB562

I have not used it for a while. Now I want to know more about its connection options, except for earphones.

I believe that is a 6th generation iPod Classic. (You can check for yourself, to confirm this, at Identify your iPod model - Apple Support).

That model has a 30-pin dock connection on the lower edge and the cable for it has a 30-pin plug at one end and a USB plug at the other end.

    • you can plug the USB plug into your computer's USB port and use iTunes to manage the iPod (add music to, and remove music from, the iPod)
    • you can also use the Dock Connector output to send audio to dock speakers (the speaker dock has a 30-pin dock connector on it), or via the cable that came with the iPod, to the USB input on a car's entertainment system
    • you can use the headphone output and a 3.5mm plug to 3.5mm plug cable to send the audio to the AUX input on car stereos, amplifiers etc. With this setup, the volume control on the iPod will also control the volume from whatever you plug it into

That's it. That iPod does not have a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi facility. The only way to manage it is through iTunes (on all Windows machines and on older Macs, using OS Mojave {10:14} or earlier). If you're using a newer Mac with OS Catalina {10:15} or later on it, via the Mac's built-in Finder.
