what to do if there is no option to update ?

i followed all the directions but it doesn’t say i can update anymore.

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 12

It suggests to me that you are using Windows 7 (or Windows 8);

  • if you tap iTunes' top bar menu Help/Check for Updates option and it tells you that your iTunes is up to date, it should also say which version is installed. If you miss it, go to Help/About iTunes. Which version is listed?
  • if there is no option on the Help menu to update, that suggests that you have downloaded the version of iTunes from the Microsoft Store, which updates automatically without any input from you. Therefore, there is no need for an update option on the menu.
