My iphone se front main camera focus keeps shifting for a moment for no reason. It hops to a blurry setting and then goes back.
See here for short clip, blurs quickly twice.
I've tried cleaning lens, setting autofocus, resetting camera and restarting phone. Nothing seems to work.

I don't think the video suggests there is anything wrong. You are using the video camera of a static room, but the camera is likely trying to decide if there is any movement and attempting to refocus as you move the camera. Looking at the shower curtain, it's somewhat complex in that it may fool your camera into thinking there is movement. Try to take the same video again, only when you start the video, put your finger on an area of the screen to tell the camera to focus on that section of the image. If you take a photo (not video), if your camera is focusing as expected, you likely do not have an issue.
Thanks for your reply but as I mentioned in my post this happens even when I have auto focus lock on. And the degree of shift back and forth and speed and frequency in lots of conditions tell me this is not simply the cameras normal function.
Then schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and show it to Apple.
Any updates? My iPhone SE2 does the same thing. Every single video has focus hunting. I'm going to update it to the latest iOS in hopes it's just a software glitch.
Alas no - lost my phone before ever fixing anything. Have a new SE and it's not happening so far.
I’m on an iPhone 13 with iOS 16.3.1 & was experiencing the same issue. Restarting my iPhone resolved the issue.
