I have iOS 16.6 update and suddenly the AirPrint does not recognize my AirPrint qualified printer

I went through all the steps that Apple supplied for connecting my phone with AirPrint printer. All my other devices: laptop, computer and Samsung phone work with the printer.

Hi,

If all settings are OK, but AirPrint still does not work, you could try the following procedure in this order (do not forget the router):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the iPhone, and all other computers/devices. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPhone. Finally, power on all other computers/devices.

I am able to connect the printer through AirPrint to my iPhone (worked instantly without a flaw) with iOS 16.6 but not my iPad also with iOS 16.6. The response given infers that the responder is delaying hoping something will fall out without providing analytical options or acknowledging a potential flaw. Whether a nerd or not is not established.

Any suggestions on the steps as how it is supposed to work. All reference I can find through search apply to iOS 10 and they clearly do not apply.

This is the closest conversations I found in a search of the community. Deferring and bickering is not helpful. Is there an article that explains the how to?

Dear Lawrence:

There is no "my way" or "not my way"... It either works or it does not. In this case it does NOT work as it should, pointing to a deficient design (most likely "unintentionally," which is called "a bug"). This is EVIDENCED by my own experience AND by experience of others posting in this thread. The proper way to fix it is by Apple's correction of the design flaw.

Dear Jan:

Thank you for your effort and your kind response to my posting. Yes, I tried and did eliminate all "obvious" reasons, based on my Ph.D. degree and a lifetime in electronic engineering. I can, with that authority, affirm that the problem is specifically confined to the iPad hardware and/or software. All other conditions are equal, meaning the printing works flawlessly, with a multitude of other Apple devices and printers from different manufacturers. It is ONLY the iPad - indicating everything as "normal" up to a point of clicking "PRINT" - after which nothing happens - that does not complete the printing task. Also, with a good design, the sequencing of the power-up should not be a factor.

Dear Sylvia:

Your experience is exactly as mine. Please see my other replies - the ball on this problem is in the Apple's court.

Also, I consider unfortunate that people (mostly non-professionals) accept deficient design "work-arounds" of bizarre power-up sequences and such, rather than demanding solid SIMPLE performance of commercial products. The complexity of trying to perform rudimentary tasks is becoming unmanageable... this is why I invoked "nerds." Who is supposed to remember all of this?

Thanks for your post!

So it's a bug in the documentation on how to set up the printer on an iOS device? Or maybe a lack of understanding on the part of the developer of all the settings affecting the implementation of the printer iOS setup and the staff preparing documentation were never notified to include it in the documentation? Just a different type of bug? How does that help me? Do you have any suggestions on how to track down the setting that a number (maybe not small) of us are missing and the lucky ones of you already had set for some reason?

Is there a function that would allow me to find all the settings I have on my iPhone and iPad respectively so that I could identify the unknown setting, as it works on my iPhone and not my iPad? All on the same network.
