From your description, it seems this would be more likely to be related to your network itself rather than the Mac. With that said, you may want to reach out to your access point manufacturer for further support.

The issue may or may not be the Access Point or Router

Especially if it is broadcasting the Wifi Signal using certain types of authentication and encryption
