You photos show that your iPad model MC349LL has iOS 5.1.1 installed. As such, you don’t have a third generation iPad - but actually have a first generation iPad.

The first generation iPad, along with the iPad2, iPad3, iPad4 and iPad mini1 are all 32-bit architecture devices - all of which are fully obsolete and unsupported by Apple. Even if you do manage to connect with the Apple App Store, you will discover that all 32-bit Apps have been retired and withdrawn from the App Store.

For currently available Apps, your only option is to replace your iPad1 with a much newer model. Of current models, even the entry-level iPad9 supports current iPadOS 16 - and has hardware specifications and capabilities that vastly outperform all obsolete models.
