How to transfer from a Linux computer?
Transferring data from Linux Fedora system. Current migration assistant does not work

For your data, copy to an external portable drive, then attach drive to Mac and copy over.
The files created in Linux will have to be compatible with macOS apps to work. For instance, data files created in LibreOffice (LibreOffice Calc with an Excel extension) and other "common" apps are likely loadable by Mac apps, but not necessarily all of them.
