Family losing contents on iCloud+ when being kicked off? Need more than 2TB

Hi - my wife and I are currently sharing the 2TB iCloud+ plan and are running out of space. I am using 1.3TB and she is using 700 GB. Our plan is for me to kick her out so she can sign up for 2TB on her own. Do you know if she loses all her contents as soon as I kick her out? Or there is a 30-day period that her content will remain (like when you stop using iCloud+) so we can switch to individual plans? Thanks!

Thank you @MrHoffman - it's just we are not using any of the services Apple One offers so was hoping to just pay for another $9.99 a month. Just can't afford the risk of kicking her off then sign up for 2TB without knowing if her 600GB worth of stuff will remain for just the matter of few minutes or seconds (the time for being kicked off and signing up for 2TB)....
