Pioneer burner drive BDR-XS06 needs to be "configured"

I recently upgraded my iMac 15,1 from OS10.13.6 to OS10.14.6 and installed a OWC 1TB internal SSD to replace the factory 256SSD. The drive I have been using for years now is not recognized and says it needs to be "configured" Any ideas?

Thank you!

Have you visited the Pioneer support site to verify that you have the latest driver for this device that is compatible with the version of macOS that is running on your Mac?

According to them it only works with Mac OS X 10.6 -10.11. Since it had been working for you with 10.13.6, there is no guarantee that it will be supported with anything newer. However, you will need to check with them to verify that.
