Removing iCloud photos while keeping the copy in the selected albums
How I can keep the photos only in the selected preferred Albums instead of keeping a dual copy in the "Recent" album?

You can't. Recents is not a place, it's a list, and the images listed there are not duplicates. Recents is just a list of images you have recently interacted with.
