I am unable to backup my iPhone8 plus data to iCloud even there is storage available. Kindly help in this regard. This is really stopping my work as I am unable to down load any new apps.

go to settings, general, iphone storage
wait a few seconds, then appears “offload unused apps”, it shows how much you can free up
there might be also “review downloaded videos” in case you have some, there you can free up storage as well
if that was not enough, you might need to think about really to delete something to free up space, the list there shows you what needs how much space

doing backups and installing new apps has nothing to do with each other
Phone storage is full hence unable to install apps. If backup happens then phone storage will be freed up, right?
