Apple Pencil Battery dead

My Apple Pencil charges and currently is at 56%, but it won’t work when I try to draw. At this point I might just get a new Apple Pencil. It kind of works but really badly, and right now it just stopped working. (Also still says charges).

Apple pencil not charging to 100% and discharging when not used for a few hours This started recently that my Apple pencil 2 does not charge to a 100%, but a maximum of 99%. I tried it on my friend’s iPad as well and the same thing happens. I tried his Apple pencil on my iPad and it was fine. Another thing that happens is that the pencil stops charging if not used for a few hours like when I’m sleeping. Is this an issue with the new software update or an issue with my pencil?

apple pencil 1 not working Hi, I have been using my apple pencil 1 for few months and after taking a break not using it (around 1-2 weeks) my apple pencil not functioning, i did charge it by connecting my apple pencil to the ipad and by using my ipad charger by the percentage does not increases, sometimes the apple pencil battery percentages showed on screen at setting went crazy by keep changing the numbers if you all can understand me. Does anyone knows how to deal with this? Please send help i am a dental student and using apple pencil for my studies is essential.

Apple pencil gen 2stays at 100% even after use. Greetings, I recently bought an iPad Air 2022 with an Apple Pencil. So far it has been working great! However, I noticed how the battery percentage of the pencil no longer falls below 100% It still works just as well as it did before and it charges (hopefully) but after use, when I attach it back to the iPad it says "Apple Pencil 100%". It didn't use to be like this, before it would usually fall to 92% e.g. Is this something bad and if so, where should I look for help. I currently don't have the means to buy a new Pencil especially after less than two weeks since the purchase.

If at any time your Apple Pencil's battery was depleted, and left in that state over an extended period of time, it will not effectively charge back to 100%. This is true for all lithium rechargeable batteries, not those just used in the Apple Pencil.

If this in not the case and you have recharging this pencil to keep it from being depleted, it just may be possible that the battery is defective ... and, should this be the case, it does come with a one-year limited hardware warranty, and you may find that you can get a replacement for little or no cost to you.
