MacBook air 2022 message sound effects (help please:)))

I love the MacBook Air but I have been having some trouble with trying to mute the "delivered" sound on iMessage and ALL notification sounds on mail. I have tried going into settings and turning off the notification sounds but that didn't help me with the sound effects. I have been looking through my settings and I cannot seem to find the right buttons. I leave for school soon and I do not want any sound coming from my computer, but I would like to still see my notifications. Please help!!! Thank you so much:)

You can try and turn off the sound completely to help you.

Otherwise, try and mute the notifications and reboot the computer to see if the issue is persisting
