I would like to plug my USB thumb drive to the (I think) my IPad USB-c port

I think my IPad-Pro has a USB-C port-It’s the only port on this device and I thought it was just a charge port. However, I have been told it is a USB-C port. What I would like to do is to use ( if it exists). a cable to convert the IPad’s USB-C port to a regular USB thumb drive. I have tried twice to make this connection, but the first cable was a charge port for my IPhone and the second was to plug my IPAd into my Windows computer.

What do you call the cable that would plug into my IPad Pro and allow me to plug in a USB Thumb Drive?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 16

thanks for the reply: I am not sure that I know enough to do what I want to do here. Once I get a USB thumb drive plugged into my iPad’s USB-C port, I would like to find a way to save a copy of a PowerPoint presentation that is presently on the cloud to a USB thumb drive that is connected through an adapter to my USB-C port. Is this possible?

Where on the cloud do you mean? iCloud? Any other?

Open the Files app. If you talk about iCloud, you can access it by standard in the sidebar under Locations, iCloud Drive. If you do not mean iCloud, you need to find out how to access it, usually with the three dots, then Connect to Server.

Also under Locations you see your memory stick.

As you maybe know how to copy/paste a file from one to another folder on a PC, it’s similar here: go to the cloud folder, copy the file, go to the memory stick folder and paste it.

Does it work?
