Is there any method to change the default encoding for IPad / IPhone

We have tested the same testing accounts on iPhone XR iOS 16.5.1 and iPad Pro Gen

6th iOS 16.1.1 with MS Outlook app, that iPad Pro cannot release approval email by ForcePoint DataLeakage Prevention(network email), but iPhone can release without problem

As investigation with Microsoft found format using IPhone release is using US-ASCII , and IPad is using ISO-2022-JP. Is there any method to change default encoding for Ipad / IPhone?

  1. However, here are a few points to consider:
  2. Browser Settings: When viewing web pages in a browser like Safari, you can manually change the text encoding for a specific page:
    1. Tap the "AA" icon in the address bar to access the website settings.
    2. From there, you might find an option to change the text encoding.
  3. Third-Party Apps: Some third-party apps may offer options to change the default text encoding for specific types of content. These options would typically be found within the settings of the individual app.
  4. Language & Region Settings: Changing your device's language and region settings may impact the encoding used for certain content, especially if you are viewing content in languages that use different character sets. However, this won't provide fine-grained control over encoding for all types of content.
  5. It's important to note that modern websites and applications are designed to handle various text encodings automatically. Most of the time, users don't need to worry about manually adjusting text encodings. If you're encountering issues with text display or encoding on specific websites or apps, it's recommended to reach out to the app or website's support for assistance.
