Pro Raw in iPhone 14 Pro

Why iPhone 14 Pro takes only 10 bit photos ? iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit photos when Pro Raw is turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro takes only 10 bit photos when 48MP Pro Raw is turned on. If we change 48MP to 12MP, then can we take 12 bit Photos in iPhone 14 Pro ?

The iPhone 14 Pro is the first iPhone to support 10-bit ProRAW photos. 10-bit ProRAW photos capture more data than 12-bit ProRAW photos, which can result in better image quality, especially in low light conditions.

If you're looking for the best possible image quality from your iPhone, then the iPhone 14 Pro with 10-bit ProRaw is the best option.

Here are some of the benefits of using 10-bit ProRAW photos:

  • Better dynamic range: 10-bit ProRAW photos can capture a wider range of brightness levels, which can result in more realistic photos with better details in both the shadows and highlights.
  • Better color accuracy: 10-bit ProRAW photos can capture more colors, which can result in more vibrant and accurate photos.
  • More flexibility in editing: 10-bit ProRAW photos give you more flexibility in editing, as you have more data to work with. This can be especially helpful if you're trying to fix problems with your photos, such as underexposed shadows or overexposed highlights.
