No Spatial Music from smart tv app

I have the Apple Music app installed on a smart TV (a one-year old Samsung Q70). But, unlike the app installed on an Apple TV, the one on the smart TV only puts out 2 channel audio -- even when playing a 7 channel Spatial Audio track. Weirdly all the other apps installed on the TV -- Including Apple TV+ put out 7 channel / Dolby Atmos sound. It is ONLY the the Apple Music app that cannot. Do I have to buy an Apple TV in order to get Spatial Audio?

(Especially with a good Home Theater system, the difference between Spatial Audio and 2 channel stereo is enormous and not having it is a serious loss.
