Macbook pro screen problem

Hi all I have an old macbook pro from late 2008, it still running good, except that I just noticed that my macbook pro screen have this spreading spot almost like fungi or mold. But the thing is, they only appear when my macbook screen is on and on specific black color, can someone anyone explain what this is, and how to fix it?

The display is failing. This would be hardware issue
