Does apple support the new TOTAL AV app?

I received an email describing the availability of this "remarkable" security app - anti-virus as it is called. Does apple support/recommend the use of this app for additional security?

No. Apple does not recommend or support any 3rd party apps at all.

Security Apps are not required on Macs at all.

Ignore the email.
