My macbook pro just auto updated and I'm seeing a message that says "OneDriveStandaloneUpdater" is an item that can run in the background. You can manage this in Login Items Settings.

I can't find this in the Login Items settings.

I see "OneDrive" but not "OneDriveStandaloneUpdater."

Is my computer OK? Or is there malware on it?

A gray message with a setting wheel (trying to look like an Apple settings gear) pops up in the top right corner of my Mac screen. No, it is just the crap Microsoft installs to check for and update their software.
