recovering permanently deleted files

I deleted files off my icloud that were uploaded from my desktop.. i didnt want them to delete from my computer just off icloud.. i am trying every possible option to retrieve these files but no luck.. any ideas or help?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 12.4

Depending on where exactly you deleted the files, you might check online to see if the files were removed from there as well: Recover deleted files on iCloud.com - Apple Support.


If the files were backed up to Time Machine, that may be another option: Restore your Mac from a backup - Apple Support.

For the future: Files in iCloud are synced with your computer, not uploaded. If you delete them from one, they delete from the other. That is expected behavior.
