MacBook Air 2019 screen is wayyyy too white not bright, white (latest version Ventura installed)
Based on Apple Communities, those same MacBook Air (mumble, mumble piece of ****....OMG what was that?)
...are having continuous issues...heavy, deep sigh. This go 'round my screen is very white, almost impossible to see white toggle buttons or white check boxes. Yes I have adjusted brightness, not helping. Chatted with online support who then connected me with phone support.
Initially the issue was the screen's color was very warm. Photos of me looked as if I had the worst suntan. Then I looked at online videos things became worse. Still very warm but in addition it was over saturated. Phone support accessed my computer, toggled True Tone off, changed color profile to Display P3, and looked at a graph showing color levels, which appears to be fine.
Not much change happened, left frustrated and closed up computer. Later I opened it and restarted my screen saver is an image of me and my partner, the image looked normal all of the sudden. But as soon as everything loaded up, back to the bad suntan look. Frustrated, I went into setting and toggle this and that. OMG whatever I did our flesh looked normal. No over saturation either!! BUT any white web pages I go to are super white even when adjusting brightness it's super white but as if I am wearing slightly grey sunglasses. It's hard to see white toggle switches or white little boxes you check when a site says check here. I am dumbfounded again.
Anyone have ideas how to fix this ?
(Anyone want to buy a used MacBook Air purchased new in 2019 ? It's a great computer, a must have. Fair deal....beautiful clear, white screen, etc., etc.)
