Why does my daughter's contact show in the "To:" field when I send an email to my Apple ID email address?

For some reason my daughters name shows up as the TO name when I send an email to my Apple ID/iCloud email address. And I had to get a new phone today and it won’t let me sign in to my Apple ID or accept my screen lock passcode

How do I fix this? She is logged in on her phone on her own Apple ID, which is a Gmail account which I find strange but maybe that’s a normal option for setting up the apple account.

Hello sposton,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are seeing your daughter's name when sending an email to your Apple ID email address. There could be 2 possibilities for this:

  1. Your contact card in the Contacts app isn't correct, and here is how to correct it: Add your contact info on iPhone - Apple Support
  2. You and your daughter are sharing an Apple ID: Apple ID FAQ - Apple If that is correct, your daughter would need their own Apple ID: Make sure that each family member has a unique Apple ID - Apple Support

Cheers!
