Logic not responding any time I click out of the application.

I can open any project or start a new one and still be able to fully use the application from recording to bouncing the final song, but if I click into any other application window or even get a call, I get the spinning beachball and Logic immediately stops responding. I've been saved by autosave a few times but have had to redo a lot of what I've already done because of this.

Ive restarted the computer a couple times and have uninstalled/reinstalled Logic just for the same thing to be happening. Nothing new was done or added to the app between the time that it worked correctly and now and I cant find anything where anyone else had this same issue.

Does anyone have experience with this or some more troubleshooting options to try?
