i've looked at the forum, clicking on and off via spotlight preferences in system settings and checked the folder preferences.

Did you try rebooting the machine...
Did you try relaunch Finder
>System Settings>Force Quit>Finder >Relaunch
—Your 13.0.1 was the original macos release back in June 2022
—The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.5
I would start there if no resolve.

all known to cause issues on the macOS
