Universal Control - Mouse get's trapped on secondary screen

I use Universal Control between my 2 MacBook Pros.

Both are running Ventura 13.5

I use an external mouse and keyboard which are directly connected to my 14" MBP.

When I enable Universal Control to also control my 16" MBP, frequently the mouse gets "trapped" on that screen and I am unable to get my mouse and keyboard to work with my 14" MBP.

The only fix is to turn off bluetooth and wifi on my 16" MBP, thus breaking the connection and forcing UC to move my mouse and keyboard back to the 14" MBP.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior? is there a fix for this other than just disconnecting the 2nd machine's connectivity?
