How to return to the iPad view on WSJ app?
For some reason, my WSJ app changed to an iPhone view on the iPad. I can’t figure out how to return to the iPad view?

Ggg908,
Are you saying the app on a new iPad looks the way it did September 6?
i have a iPad Pro 11” 3rd generation that I purchased in 2022. I find it hard to believe they’re not supporting app on such a new model. Plus it was working yesterday and not today? None of this makes sense.
Are you sure whatever "newest" iPad you are running wasn't running the older version of the app? It appears the crippleware is v. 14. Mine either automatically updated or WSJ pushed it out unbidden while I was actually running the app.
Horrible update on my iPad today and no past issue access. My subscription expires tomorrow and I cancelled today. I will miss it but the update does not work for me.
You indeed are correct. The rev 14.x is broken on all iPads, period.
New format unpleasant and unenjoyable to read. No longer my daily morning “go to” reading. Disappointed
WSJ- hope you are listening to everybody. Pls go back or bring back a better format!!!!!!!
I'm thinking about emailing WSJ leadership team directly. Here's a list of the WSJ team members https://www.wsj.com/about-us if others would like to do the same.
I sent 4 emails. Thank you.
Lost ability to quickly navigate sections and no access to past editions. The previous version was a pleasure to read, the new one is like trying to read a sprawling webpage in a browser - more push than selection. Reminds me of the Bing default homepage.
I wish I could undo the most recent update and keep the last version.
Beyond frustrating what the WSJ has done. The Print edition of the app is in no way a viable substitute for the old iPad app. Absolutely brain dead for the WSJ to have made this change. No reason why a 3rd generation iPad 11 Pro shouldn't still be able to run the old app. And what's even worse is for the WSJ to make this sort of major change without any sort of announcement. The old iPad app was the best in the business -- far better than the NY Times or WaPo app -- and now it's worse than those. The WSJ needs to fix this ASAP.
I share everyone’s sentiments and disappointment. This very intentional change destroyed the enjoyability of my morning reading. I also suspect that WSJ got greedy, as this browser based version gives much more ads that can target you in addition to platform interoperability. $22 a month was supposed to mostly rise above all the insanity with consuming news these days. I’m just so sad about this. I’ll come back if they fix, but my fear is that I’m just an old person not changing with the times. I suspect that people want to consume news on various channels, listen to audio streams on their AirPods and know how long something is before reading it. I personally think that’s some bird brained stuff and not the core WSJ reader. Hopefully they see the light.
I am sad to have cancelled as well. Utterly unusable.
100% agreement with everyone. The old app reader was worth subscribing to WSJ. Not any more. Appreciate the link to the WSJ leadership page- I sent multiple emails. It is amazing that a drastic change such as this would not have been communicated to subscribers.
