I don't have the old phone or an Apple ID. What do I do?

Many years ago when my family got Apple phones we were set up with one Apple ID for all 3 devices. I dropped my phone in the ocean and it wasn't retrievable. I have purchased a new phone and it's activated with the same phone number as the old phone. I'm not sure if there is a way to retrieve information off the old phone because it didn't have it's own Apple ID. Would appreciate some help with that.

I also have an Apple watch which is paired to the old phone. I didn't have an Apple ID associated with the Iphone 8 which was lost and obviously I don't have the phone. I need to be able to unpair it from the old phone.

Please Help

Apple IDs are not specific to devices, they are specific to users. Use the same account on any devices you own. If you had been backing up your phone read this support article to discover how to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup --> Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

Even if you had not been backing it up, if you had been using iCloud then information stored there should reappear once you sign in on the account you had been using with the old phone. Read this support article to learn how to sign in with your Apple ID on various kinds of devices --> Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

For an Apple Mobile device:

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Tap Sign in to your [device].

3. Enter your Apple ID and password.

4. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.
