iPad Pro Not Responsive to Charger and Reset...Is this a Common Problem with iPad Pro 2022?

This is now the 3rd time this has occurred. The first time about 3 or 4 months ago, I took it to the Genius Bar and the technician performed the hard reset on it...and it turned on. She indicated that I may not have held the top button down long enough when I tried it previously? But then also tried to encourage me to trade it for a new one, even though it was only a year and a half old. The second time it occurred about 2 months ago, I was able to reset it myself. Now yesterday was the 3rd time and it will not respond to the reset. I have an appointment again for the Genius Bar...taking it back for the same issue. I am starting to think that this may be some sort of defect and may be tied to OIS updates???? Thoughts?

If your iPad is unresponsive, connect your iPad to its Power Adapter and allow the iPad to charge. Then, while still connected to external power, try a forced-restart:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

If iPad still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t turn on or is frozen. Or if your iPad isn’t working correctly after you restart it, see the iPad Support website.

Yes, that’s exactly what was happening with my Apple iPad Pro. An apple was not helpful at all and had to revert back to Verizon because Apple could not figure out what was going on and I had been without my iPad for weeks. $1600 device should work than a few months, especially the charging port. Mine wiggled from the day I got it and I was told it wasn’t a big deal. They did not have a sense of energy at all or CARE that my iPad was not working.

My iPad Pro just died on me. Left it yesterday with half a battery of charge. Today it won't turn on. I've done all the resets possible and still nothing. It's an M2 iPad Pro 11". I've had a small crack on the bezel for more than one year, so for that, it's not under warranty anymore (here it's 2 years).

Really frustrating to have such an expensive product stop working like this.

I will not be buying any new iPad in the future, that's for sure.
