Accidentally Merged All Contacts Into One

I accidentally merged all my contacts into one contact card. How do I reverse this?

Hey ttpayne55,

We're grateful that you posted here so we can help you figure this out.

It sounds like the best bet in this case is going to be creating new contacts for each of the cards that you merged into one. The good news is that since you still have that contact information handy in the card you merged them into, you should be able to simply copy and paste that information into new cards. The reason we recommend using your Mac is simply so that you can easily copy and paste that information using keyboard commands (as described here: How to copy and paste on Mac - Apple Support)

If you're using iCloud, then this process can be done seamlessly in the Contacts app or even online by visiting the iCloud website, which you can find here: iCloud This article has more information as well: Create or edit contacts in Contacts on iCloud.com - Apple Support

We hope this information is helpful!

Have a great day.
