Hello Gdt5000

Thanks for checking. There is no other setting to check.

Please contact Bose. Check if there is a firmware update to correct this.

If you have other options, like a different set of headphones or a BT speaker to pair it to and then test the alarms. This will rule out an issue with the phone.

If the alarms work in other speakers or headphones, then the issue is isolated to your Bose headphones: How to set and change alarms on your iPhone - Apple Support

  • "If you connect headphones to your iPhone, the alarm plays at a set volume through the built-in speakers on your iPhone as well as wired and wireless headphones."

Reach out to Apple Support if no sounds for alarms also play when paired with any other headphones or speakers, as this might be an issue with the iPhone or iOS: Get Support

Thanks.

Hello Gdt5000,

It sounds as though this issue happens with multiple headphones. In this case, have you tried to forget these accessories and try it again after pairing them? This would be a good troubleshooting step to test out.

To forget a Bluetooth device:

  1. Go to the Settings app and tap on Bluetooth.
  2. Select the 'i' next to the device you wish to remove.
  3. Select Forget this Device.
  4. Turn off Bluetooth at the top, then enable it again.
  5. Put the headphones in pairing mode (if required).
  6. Pair the headphones with the iPhone.
  7. Test the alarm issue with the headphones connected.

Resource: Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone or iPad

If that resolves the issue, you can do this with each Bluetooth headphone.

In case the issue continues to occur, does everything else seem to work with the headphones connected to the iPhone? For example, are you able to hear other notifications, just not alarms? This will help us to isolate the behavior further.

Take care.

Gdt5000,

Thanks for letting us know. Next, can you tell us the exact version of iOS you're running on your device?

Find the software version on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

To find the software version installed on your device, go to Settings > General, then tap About.

If you're running a dated version of iOS, try updating your device, then testing, and let us know if the original issue persists.

Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Also, can you tell us if you're using AirPods, Beats, wired headphones by Apple, or a different brand?

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

Cheers!
