iPad Lines graphics display

Anyone faced this problem?

I bought an iPad today 16GB 3G.

For first 3 hours it was fine. Then I decide to put it to standby by pressing the top button.

Went for dinner. Came back turn it on. All lines graphic. I cant even see the apps but when I slide my fingers I could unlock the device. Tap on the apps(I can see the graphic change). But thats all.

Now the screen is black....did DFU also the same...sigh
