"Location Services" do not show any activity, cannot access location in Chrome (FF and Safari works)

Hi all,

The "Location Services" system-setting seems broken, because it does not show any activity. I cannot access my location in Chrome, however, I can do that in Firefox and Safari. Neither do show up in this list though. I have tried enabling and disabling them, I reset the Wifi profile, I checked every setting in Chrome.

To me, this seems like a bug, which I suspect because the screen below should show app activity, but it doesn't. Super annoying, and Safari just isn't an option for various reasons I do not want to discuss here.

Anyone else experienced this?

There has been some type of change between Ventura 13.4.1(c) to Ventura 13.5 that effects "Location Services".

That we acknowledge.

As of this writing, there is no documented and supporting evidence provided by Apple as to whether this is a "bug " or something else.

No doubt, this question may act like a " honey pot " and garner much attention.

In the interim - the functionality of Location Services seems to work as intended.

The difference at the moment is the Appearance.

At least that how it has been working on 2 M1 and 1 M2 computers I own and work on each running Ventura 13.5

If you believe this is a Bug and requires the attention by Apple >>

We agree in Ventura 13.0.1 released Nov 9, 2022 and every version between then and 13.4.1(c) ( 9 Updates in total ) that the Location Services was presented as you have shared in your wife's computer screen shot.

Thank you for sharing that

Thereafter something has changed.

Only Apple has the Ability to Answer your question if this is or is not a Bug

A possible solution to provide Apple Feedback or for that matter a Bug Report

No doubt, if the issue can be reproduced on a regular basis by Apple on their side, something will come of it.

Well, here is the same screen on my wife's MBA using macOS 13.0.1 (22A400), albeit she is using "German", it's the same system's component, we can agree on that, right? All apps that used the location service show up. I have shown you mine, and I can tell you that I've downloaded and tested with Firefox 1min before taking the screenshot.

I don't know what this is, but this is why I am posting to see if anyone else has been experiencing this issue.

The difference at the moment is the Appearance.

Frankly, it isn't, I am well aware of the changes in the UI. That is certainly not the case here.
