Before you downgrade or cancel your iCloud+ plan, first download or remove content that exceeds your new storage amount. To make sure you don't lose any information, find out how to copy what you're storing in iCloud.

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap iCloud.
4. Tap Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage.
5. Tap Change Storage Plan.
6. Tap Downgrade Options and enter your Apple ID password
7. Choose a different plan:

• To cancel iCloud+, choose the free 5 GB plan or choose None.

In fact, more Physical storage may require more iCloud storage because your backups will be bigger now and if you sync any content with iCloud, you will most likely need the storage in iCloud especially if you use iCloud Photos.
