Smart playlists not updating when signed in to Apple ID.

For some bizarre reason whenever I’m signed in to my Apple ID the smart music playlists will not update on my iPhone 12. If I sign out then no problem they update as normal.


All apps are up to date and the phone behaves as normal.


I don’t pay, nor do I want to, to use Apple Music preferring to have my library held on a laptop and synched to iTunes every so often. I have no issues with iTunes.


Whilst this issue doesn’t cause any long term issues, it’s just a pain that seems to be oddly annoying.
