Apple Music “my station” won’t show the songs inside
I’ve been considering switching to Apple Music for years from Spotify. But there’s a few things that make it not possible for me.
- on Spotify, it builds stations, or groups of songs for me. I’m able to click into that list and see all the songs it recommends and play which ever one I want. On Apple Music, I can only play my “Stephanie’s Station” but I can’t see what songs are inside.
- Im big on music discovery if the above point didn’t give that away. Spotify has an amazing feature where at the end of a playlist when you scroll to the bottom, it shows a list of songs you may like. Almost every day I go down and find a song I do like, and add it to my playlist. It doesn’t appear that Apple Music has anything like this. Spotify has recently taken this a step further and adds songs to your playlist with AI. Amazing.
- There’s no collaboration. This is quite possibly the BIGGEST reason I won’t switch. My wife and I have 3 collaborative playlists on Spotify that we both add to. I was shocked to find Apple Music doesn’t have this option.
Why is Apple Music so behind the times? It seems that every other music service is lightyears ahead of it. Does Apple plan to add collaboration features for playlists?
I’d also love to know if there is a way on Apple Music to see the LIST of songs it’s recommending for me? Like a list of songs I might like based on my listens or playlists? This is huge for me.
As a side note, I have used Apple Music on Mac and on iOS and have found neither satisfactory.
