There’s a command-line command to hide the desktop entirely across all spaces, but that’s not what you want:

You can't put folders on a Mission Control Desktop. The Desktop folder shows the same information on every Mission Control Desktop.

Applications can be assigned to Mission Control Desktops, but document windows cannot. You can drag them into different desktops, but when you close and reopen, they will appear on the Desktop assigned to the app.
