Apple Watch isn‘t connecting anymore :(

My Apple Watch (Series 3, WatchOS 8.8.1) isn‘t connecting to my phone (iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 16.6) anymore. Already restarted both of them, without any results. I dont want to erase my Apple Watch, because I would loose newer (unsyncronised) training-data. Any advice? Thanks in advatage :)

Hey swedish_goblin,

If your Apple Watch is no longer connecting with your iPhone, you will want to follow the steps in the guide you recently viewed here: If your Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone - Apple Support

While the steps do lead you to erase your watch and set it up again, the resource for erasing does say a new backup is created first:

Before erasing all content and settings on your Apple Watch, your iPhone creates a new backup of your Apple Watch. You can use the backup to restore a new Apple Watch. After your Apple Watch unpairs, you'll see the Start Pairing message.

Those details are found in step 8 here: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support

We hope this helps. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Take care.
